Baryons in 2 + 1 flavour domain wall QCD

Preliminary results for some of the light baryon masses and their excited states in 2+1 flavour domain wall QCD are presented. The spectrum was determined on two volumes, 16 3 × 32 and 24 3 × 64, both with L S = 16. The degenerate light quark mass is less than a third of the strange quark mass. All data was produced jointly by the RBC and UKQCD collaborations on QCDOC machines.

Neutral Kaon Mixing Beyond the Standard Model from 2+1 Flavour Domain Wall QCD
We present preliminary results of a study of ∆S = 2 matrix elements originating from physics beyond the Standard Model. Using 2 + 1 flavour Domain Wall Fermions we obtain the non-perturbative renormalisation (mixing) matrix in the RI scheme. We also discuss plans for the chiral extrapolation of the renormalised matrix elements in a partially quenched setup .

We consider domain walls that appear in supersymmetric SU (N) with one massive flavour. In particular, for N ≥ 3 we explicitly construct the elementary domain wall that interpolates between two contiguous vacua. We show that these solutions are BPS saturated for any value of the mass of the matter fields. We also comment on their large N limit and their relevance for supersymmetric gluodynamics.
